Abstract Art Projects for Students

Here's a class for students wanting to explore more avenues of art techniques using the fundamentals of art. This course includes 2 projects over 4 consecutive weeks.
The first project will be STICK-START: A beginner's approach to abstract painting, inspired by the works of Wassily Kandinksy. In this lesson plan, students explore the point and line concept using a simple wooden tool to create a variety of marks on a paper surface.
The second project will be SOLVING THE ART PUZZLE: With an emphasis on emphasis, the elements of art and principles of design become a puzzle to be solved. If we think of art as a puzzle to be solved, there are individual pieces that an artist organizes and puts together to complete the entire image.
4 consecutive weeks course Cost: $30.00 per student (Covers all 4 classes, includes all materials). Limited to 8 students
