Marcia Yiapan painted her first little oil painting of a Redondo Beach scene when she got a set of paints for Christmas at age 11 or 12. She got a minor in art while majoring in history at U.C.L.A. Like many mothers, she then shelved her paints for years. She now paints mainly in acrylics and enjoys the art of depicting snow. Creating puzzles and games is another passion that gets much of her attention.
